Green Goodness Bowl

Plenty of green goodies in here to start your day right! Psyllium husk is one of my favourite additions to smoothies and baking as it has minimal taste but adds lots of soluble fibre. It is great for bowel issues and works as a natural laxative. If it causes any irritations for you, feel free to leave it out of this one.

 

The cucumber, ginger, lemon, mint and turmeric pack a powerful punch and are fantastic anti-inflammatory, metabolic and digestive aids as well as refreshing and zesty! Enjoy this one…

Ingredients

For: 1 serving
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • 1 tbsp psyllium husk
  • 1/4 cucumber
  • handful spinach leaves
  • slice ginger
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • pinch turmeric
  • 1 small handful mint leaves
  • 1 tsp stevia
  • 1/2 cup almond milk unsweeteneed
  • 1 cup ice (makes it thick!)

Instructions

  1. Blend! Top with your favourite toppings. I used crunchy coconutty toasted granola, extra desiccated coconut, goji berries and fresh mint.
