SPICED COCO BERRY BLISS SMOOTHIE

Berries are by far my go to when it comes to smoothies. They offer so much flavour and nutrition with such a low (natural) sugar content plus so much fibre. So many smoothies utilise bananas, which are fine, but it’s nice to find a creamy smoothie that doesn’t. I have added some warming spices here to contrast with the fresh tanginess of the antioxidant-rich berries. Goji are a nice addition for an added superfood boost – did you know that Goji Berries contain more vitamin C than oranges, more beta carotene than carrots and more iron than steak?!?! Add them where you can!

Ingredients

For: 1
  • 1/2 cup frozen raspberries
  • 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 2 tbsp coconut yoghurt
  • 1 tsp goji berries
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup coconut water
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 7 ice cubess

Instructions

  1. Throw all ingredients into your blender (except ice) and blend on high for 30 seconds or until well combined;
  2. Add the ice, and blend for a further 15 seconds, until thick and smooth;
  3. Pour into a glass and serve with your favourite toppings!
